Meet Patrick Trimbath
Turning Challenges into Solutions, One Project at a Time
Welcome! I’m Patrick Trimbath, a problem-solver and leader with a passion for making things work—whether it’s a highway construction project, a logistics puzzle, or a cutting-edge tech process. Based in Dunbar, PA, I bring over 30 years of experience in operations, project management, and compliance to everything I do. My mission? To build efficient, sustainable solutions that make a real impact, and to share that journey with you through this portfolio.
Currently, I’m the Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor at PennDOT Engineering District 12 in Uniontown, PA (since March 2019). I oversee contractor compliance, project safety, and quality assurance to keep our roadways safe and reliable. From reviewing contracts to ensuring adherence to federal regulations like the Davis-Bacon Act, I’m all about getting the details right. Before this, I ran Universal Transport Solutions (2007–2019), managing a small trucking fleet and solving logistics challenges for clients nationwide. I also spent over a decade at Intel Corporation (1993–2007), leading equipment installations, streamlining financial compliance, and driving process improvements across global operations.
My roots are in understanding how things tick. I hold an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State Fayette (1983) and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix (2003, 2004). I’m also certified in OSHA 30-hour training (2023) and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete Field Testing (2024–2025). I'm always eager to keep learning-—like coding through freeCodeCamp, where I’m diving into HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Python.
Outside of work, I’m a volunteer with the Yough River Trail Council, helping maintain the Great Allegheny Passage and Sheepskin trails—perfect for biking or a good hike. My wife Natalie and I own and manage a Vacation Rental near Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania where hiking and biking trails abound. (see the link below.) I’m a bit of a geek for transportation, tech, space exploration, and energy innovation, and I love dreaming up ways to make our world more connected and sustainable. Fun fact: I once designed solar heating systems as a licensed contractor, blending my love for tech and the environment.
